Wash & Volume/EQ. This will impact the atmosphere of sound you evoke and bring to your listeners. It’s the cymbal that will do the “scraping” and most directly impacts the “wash” sound. The more dry it is in solo, the more wash you will get. When similar in pitch to the top you will experience more “sizzle”. The greater difference in pitch the more tone ring you will get. The heavier this cymbal is, the more low end or “chunky” sound you will get.
